(Serves 4 People)


  • 1 Indian sachet
  • 400g Basmaeti rice
  • 1 large onion
  • Fresh coriander

  • Add fresh tomatoes for for extra flavour.
  • Add chicken when cooking onions for a more substantial meal.

  1. Add 2 Indian sachet and onions to a sauce pan and cook on medium heat until brown.

  2. Add rice to pan and mix in so coated with Indian marinade and onion.

  3. Add 480ml water to rice, but make sure pan has cooled a little as water will evaporate.

  4. Cover and cook on low heat for 25 mins, mix rice gently once or twice.

  5. Once cooked sprinkle with coriander and serve.

  6. Serve with various curries or add chicken or vegetables and eat alone.
