SAAG ALOO

(Serves 4 People)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Indian sachet
  • 2 large onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 300g or 6 cubes of frozen spinach
  • 100g of fresh or tinned tomatoes
  • PROFESSIONAL TIPS

  • Use red onions for more flavour.
  • Add some fresh coriander just before serving.
METHOD

  1. Boil 4 large potatoes until cooked.

  2. Chop 2 large onions.

  3. Add 1 Indian sachet to onions and gently fry until golden brown.

  4. Add 100g of fresh tomatoes and spinach to the pan.

  5. Once tomatoes and spinach are cooked add potatoes and cook for a further 5 minutes.

  6. Eat on its own or as a side dish to a curry.
